“ I’m a full time road-tripping traveler who has criss-crossed the country a few times in the last few years, but this is my first time in the Chapel Hill, North Carolina area. My friend Martha treated me to lunch at the Lime and Lemon Grill and Bar, citing that it was her favorite Indian restaurant here in Chapel Hill. The experience did not disappoint. My favorite Indian dish is chicken tikka masala, so that’s what I started to order, but our server encourage me to try the mango lime chicken. He promised that if I didn’t love it, he would not charge me and would bring me my initial choice. (Well played Edwin, well played!) Martha also ordered the chicken tikka masala, but substituted paneer in place of the chicken. We also enjoyed cocktails – a Pink City for Martha and a Cochin Countryside for me. (My cocktail was ok, but it didn’t knock my socks off.) We also ordered a side of garlic naan. Hands-down, it was the best garlic naan I’ve ever had in my entire life. I literally swooned at the table (embarrassing, but true). The mango lime chicken was so delicious that it almost caused me to have a mouth orgasm.(I’m not kidding!) The decor and ambience was equally phenomenal- the yellow makes the place pop without being overwhelming or obnoxious. Heck, I even loved the way the menus looked- very classy! Everything about this lunchtime experience was top-notch. My recommendation: Go there! Eat the food, drink the drinks, enjoy your life. And ask for Edwin T., he was a top notch server! ”
“ We came to this lovely restaurant for my sister’s birthday. Our waiter Edwin was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very friendly. We absolutely LOVED the atmosphere and the food and drinks. We will definitely be back. I don’t know how I forgot to take a picture of my goat biryani but it is a must try. ”
“ My time in grad school in Chapel Hill is coming to an end and so are the opportunities to eat at Lime and Lemon. I will miss this place a lot and would recommend it to anyone visiting Chapel Hill. For the past four years, Edwin has fed me and my friends well every time we dined in. We’ve run into a few of our classmates along the way and he has fed them just as well! The service is always so quick, we’re always being provided free and ample basmati rice refills, and he always declines tips because of our student status. He even treats us to free samples of malai and mango lassi. The price for the amount of food is also very fair. It truly feels like eating at your relatives’ house. This place is authentic and has a great selection of really great classic Indian dishes. This place has been a go-to spot in the past four years and I will be leaving this city thinking about it even in the setting of the really wonderful Indian restaurants back in the Bay Area! Please support this restaurant!!! ”
“ Made the trip out to Lime & Lemon for a date night after hearing it was the best Indian in The Triangle and it did not disappoint! Staff was very friendly - great service and even better food. We sat at the bar where Abhi made us custom drinks (they were delicious) and recommended the Mango Lime chicken which was superb. We also had the gobi manchurian (best we’ve had in NC), mutter paneer, chicken korma, all accompanied by paneer kulcha (don’t miss!) and garlic naan (iconic). Thank you Abhi! ”
“ In NC for a wedding. My daughter and I at this amazing place. Not only was the food a 5/5, our service was exceptional. Edwin was very informative about the menu and helped us make food choices, we never had to ask for a drink refill or even a napkin. Can’t wait to eat here again. ”
“ I had the lunch special - and well; the lunch comes with a rice dish, a fried chicken dish, and a Marsala style dish, a small desert and a yogurt sauce. You better come hungry. Worth every penny. My server, Edwin remained very attentive! I had mine medium, and it was perfectly spiced. Naan was crispy on the outside and warm - perfect. This place earned its high reviews! ”
“ It was my family’s first time trying Indian food, except for my oldest daughter. We didn’t know what to expect but Edwin made it easy for us. He was very attentive and made sure the spice level was good for each of us. He was excellent!! The food was absolutely delicious! Even my dad, who is a critic of every restaurant, had only good things to say. He loved it!! Definitely a great experience! ”
“ Wow! To say I was blown away is an understatement! The food arrived quickly, hot, and full of flavor. The service was outstanding—our waiter, Edwin T, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. Edwin even refused a tip and took off dessert on our bill. So thoughtful and selfless The sizzling brownie pictured below was just the cherry on top! Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Indian food with top-notch service! ”
